More Amusement

Let the sarcasm fall away. Replace it with amusement. The world is a funny place, so enjoy it.

Be Kind

Be kind especially to yourself. You are harder on yourself than you need to be. Have compassion on yourself for the lessons you learn on your journey. When you are compassionate to yourself, you may easily, in turn, extend that compassion to others. When you are kind to yourself, you bring kindness into the world.

Let go of judgment and criticism and ridicule. Again, especially to yourself. When that inner voice starts to get you down, just notice it with compassion. Somewhere in your life, that criticism or judgment or ridicule served you. Maybe it protected you from harm or allowed you to not appear so vulnerable. That is fine. But now, you no longer need that. Now you are able to reach your goals in life without that heaviness. Now you can have compassion and kindness as the guide to your thoughts and actions.

A Peculiar Thing Happens

Take time out of your day, every day, to meditate. A peculiar thing happens when you meditate - you want more of it, and even more of it.

At first, it is not necessarily like that. At first, there may be a sense of burden, "No way, I can't sit and meditate every day." But if you keep at it and push through that rough patch in the beginning, you will be rewarded with a practice that brings such a deep satisfaction you will wonder how you ever managed without it.

Give it a try.
