Teach your children to tell the truth as well. You teach them by modeling the truth, both in word and action. You teach them to tell the truth by validating and encouraging them when they do tell the truth. You teach them by gently requiring them to tell the truth, without a big lecture or dramatic demand. Rather use a firm and gentle voice requiring the truth and most importantly, let them see you tell the truth always.
